Good pho overall and a little on the salter end. The pork and rice dish used a leaner cut of meat but was still delicious. The bahn mi are really good with a good amount of liver pate on the traditional sandwich. You have to order at the counter and they'll bring the food to your table!
their oxtail pho is probably some of the best I’ve ever had. There was a lot of meat in the soup and the broth was incredibly flavorful Also their banh mi’s are pretty on point. The bread was exact level of softness. Perfect amount of meat in the sandwich. My new favorite pho spot in the area
Fantastic place to chow on Vietnamese cuisine. I had the mixed vege over rice vermicelli. Really good. Had a side order of spring rolls with a vinegar dip. Man, the flavors just blows you away. 5 stars for this joint!
This is a non pretentious little Thai Restaurant. The food is good, and it's paired with sift Rock playing in the background. Simple food at a good price, what's not to like.
2 days ago I came here since I was craving some hot soup because I was just starting to catch a cold. I ordered the shrimp tomato soup not realizing it had meat/chicken stock and because I am Muslim I cannot eat any meat that is not halal. The host (Helena) was so kind to take back the soup and bring me out a new bowl of soup with vegetable broth and only shrimp (check out the food). She was so professional and so understanding that the service for this restaurant just made the food taste 100 times better. That being put aside, the soup was honestly so good the broth was so homey, and it just felt like a warm hug. Would definitely come back here again and highly suggest! Came here for a bite after getting off the train at New Hyde Park station. I was very pleasantly surprised with the place! The beef pho was so delicious as well as the vietnamese iced coffee (super strong). The Long Bay special banh mi was packed with meat and veggies. I would definitely come back here again and recommend it to my friends.
Dinner was excellent at Ha Long Bay. Excellent customer service, all staff extremely kind, patient, helpful and respectful. Restaurant is spotless inside and out and menu is clear, concise and easy to navigate. I had the Pho with grilled chicken and it was delightful. Soup was hot and all ingredients were fresh and tasty. The plate of complimentary bean sprouts was generous and equally fresh. I also ordered a Vietnamese Iced Coffee and it was also delicious and fresh. Ample parking in lot behind restaurant or on street but you need to feed the meters until 7:00 pm and the Village of New Hyde Park aggressively enforces parking meter violations. This was my first time at Ha Long Bay and I definitely will be returning soon. Highly recommended.
